If your vehicle has suffered from a defect that the dealerships have been unable to resolve after having been given a reasonable number of opportunities, you may be entitled to relief under California's Lemon Law. If you qualify, you will be entitled to a cash refund and payoff of the outstanding balance of your car loan or a replacement vehicle. Or, if you prefer to keep your vehicle, our office can often negotiate a "cash and keep" settlement wherein the manufacturer will pay a cash settlement, and you will retain ownership of the vehicle. This third option has become increasingly popular as consumers find themselves concerned that qualifying for finanancing on a new vehicle could prove difficult.
Under the California Lemon Law, a prevailing consumer's attorney's fees and court costs are to be paid by the defendant. As such, we are able to represent all of our clients on a contingency fee basis. Under our fee arrangement, our clients do not pay our office any up-front fees to initiate the claim. Our houly attorney's fees and court costs are advanced on our clients' behalf to be paid by the manufacturer when the case is resolved.
